What's been happening for the past two months
Why the newsletter was on pause and what I've done in the meantime
Hello!
Long time no see! I have unfortunately not prioritized this newsletter because everyone started to get their COVID-19 vaccines which led to a lot more social activities compared to what I’ve grown to be used to for the last year or so. But let’s kick start the newsletter again with highlights from the past two months.
Highlights of the past two months
Got my two vaccine doses. As mentioned, this has allowed me to have a normal social life again.
Traveled outside of Stockholm for the first time in a year. I first went to Gothenburg, but later I also went to Amsterdam. Now I am so ready to go to other countries and meeting my friends outside of Sweden!
I spoke at UX+, my first conference. It was a goal of mine this year to speak at a conference. I didn’t know it would be one I had attended before and that I’d share the virtual stage with Jake Knapp - bonkers. I was very stressed making the talk - but it turned out well!
I met Maureen (@ux.collection) in person. I’ve been a big fan for the past year and it’s been great to meet her in person when she visited Stockholm. We had a great chat about the UX landscape, our careers, and life. I’m looking forward to meeting up again in the near future!

Favorite pieces of knowledge from books, podcasts, videos, etc. that I consumed.
The Happiness Trap
What’s important is not if a thought is true or false, but whether or not it helps in creating the life we want. If it helps, pay attention, if it doesn’t, defuse it.
The Daily Stoic
Feeling anxious about something that might happen in the future is useless. Best case, it didn’t happen and you wasted time. Worst case, it happens and you were miserable longer than necessary. Use your time on something better.
Don’t pray for your life to be easier, pray for the strengths to handle difficulties.'
The 4-hour Work Week
A person’s success in life correlates to the number of uncomfortable conversations they are willing to have.
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”
