Weekly Highlight
Today is my first day of vacation! For the next 3.5 weeks, I’ll have no H&M work to do (we get 30 days of paid vacation). Normally, I would be travelling somewhere - perhaps Amsterda, Hong Kong, or Los Angeles - but given the state of affairs, I’ll be staying in Sweden. So now I have a unique opportunity to reflect on what I wanted to do with all of this free time. Here’s the list I came up with:
Set up a great routine.
The last few months my routine has deteriorated as I’ve become more busy and the brightness has messed up by sleeping routine, so now I can really take the time to reset everything and give my all to building up a routine
Recharge
A vacation isn’t worth it if I can’t come back to work with new energy and a fresh perspective. Perhaps by spending a weekend in an Airbnb somewhere remote, or meeting more often with friends, or experience new things like padel (?). So I’ll be looking for ways to unwind and find inspiration.
Reach the next level in something
While I will be recharging, I also want to be somewhat productive. I’ll focus on a few things to get it to the next level. The first things that comes to mind is my Slip Box - a collection of ideas I’ve found from books, podcasts, videos that I’ve tried to connect in meaningful ways in order to create some awesome content. Quite excited for that one!
Hope you’re on your vacation too or will be soon. Let me know if you have any recommendations for what to do to recharge!

About Face (Book)
If a user proposes a solution that is interesting, ask “What problem would that solve for you?” Or “Why would that be a good solution?”
People usually can’t or won’t express their goals. You have to reconstruct them from their behavior, answers to other questions, and clues from the environment.
Six one-hour-long contextual inquiries per persona with carefully selected users is sufficient for contextual inquiries.
Experience goals - How the user wants to feel. The visual and interactive feel. If not met, the user will resent the product.
End goals - What the user wants to achieve. Why they are performing the tasks. If not met, the user will think the product is a waste of time and money.
Life goals - Who the user wants to be. Why they want to accomplish the end goals. If not met, user will not become loyal.

Notes and thoughts on this video
What I learned from this was that if I want to upload a video in 1h I can.
It was a bit rushed and can be a lot better, but it was fun to challenge myself and to change things up a bit.
